Fight Promoter University Announces 10th Anniversary Session

Extra Day Added and 2014 Gathering Set forDecember 3rd thru 6th

Will Feature Two Fight Club OC Shows with One Broadcast on AXS TV

People say “two is better than one” so fight promoter Roy Englebrecht announced that his 10th session of Fight Promoter University will feature back-to-back Fight Club OC shows. Set for December 3-6 in Southern California, FPU X will be a day longer and now with the two shows all FPU students will be able to work both shows and get twice the hands on experience.

“What a way to end 2014 so that future or current fight promoters can get the knowledge and hands on experience in the fight promotions business that they need to be successful in 2015,” said FPU founder Englebrecht. “With FPU X we will give students the experience of our normal Thursday Fight Club OC show set for Thursday, December 4th, and then on Friday, December 5th it will be the Resurrection Fighting Alliance bringing their great MMA fighters to The Hangar for a show that will be broadcast live on AXS TV Fights. So two great shows for students to work and observe what it takes to put on a quality fight show.”

FPU X will also feature an extra day so students will be able to attend all the necessary classes and hear from some of the best fight promoters and business men in the combative sports business. The opening session will begin on Wednesday, December 3rd at 10am and will wrap up with the FPU X Commencement Address and Graduation at Noon on Saturday, December 6th.

FPU X will include 16 classroom sessions over four days, hands-on experience at two pro fight shows, and will feature up to 12 guest speakers. Past Fight Promoter University sessions have featured some of the biggest names in the fight business, and invitations to be a guest speaker at FPU X will go out to; Scott Coker the new head of Bellator and former founder of Strikforce, Adam Simon head of sports for AXS TV, Ed Soares head of Resurrection Fighting Alliance, Steve Bash founder of Bash Boxing, Bruce Binkow former CMO and COO at Golden Boy Promotions, Kristen Daniels marketing manager at Heineken USA/Tecate,  Howard Sandler Director of Events at the OC Fair & Event Center, Whit Haydon and Mel Valenzuela boxing and mma matchmakers at Roy Englebrecht Promotions, Karl Freitag founder of fightnews.com, Jeff Sherwood founder ofSherdog.com, Drew Englebrecht VP of Marketing and Operations at Roy Englebrecht Promotions, Andy Foster Executive Officer of the California State Athletic Commission, JT Steele, President of CAMO (California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization), Big John McCarthy MMA referee, Jack Reiss boxing referee, Ken Pavia top MMA agent, and others.

“What has made FPU very special and the only place to go to learn the fight promotions business has been our guest speakers,” said Englebrecht. “I ask each one to come to FPU not to tell war stories or how great they are, but the actually teach a specific area of the fight promotions business so students leave with so much more knowledge than when they arrived.”

The cost for tuition and extras for Fight Promoter University X will be $1,195 which will include all four days of classroom sessions, three buffet breakfasts, one lunch, the exclusive 300 page FPU Manual, a Fight Club OC T-Shirt, FPU credential, and all transportation while at FPU X. Travel and lodging will be each students responsibility and they will be able to make their own room reservations at the Atrium Hotel at a special FPU rate of only $99 a night.
